From the Shannondale mesage board: "I'm sorry about the bad news (IMHO) with the City of Charles Town's decision to "solve" their sewage problem by discharging the "treated" effluent directly into that recreational gem we know as "The Big Eddy". From what I read in the paper (remember the grain of salt rule), the City wants to solve its sewage problem, not by treating it to any greater degree of quality, but to dump it into the Shenandoah River in a prime recreational and tourist location to simply dilute the problem.
