Many of you know me from being around the development...if you don't then just ask someone. They probably at least heard of me. I want to suggest a place where Teens can hang out. I know many of you don't like us, because of fourwheelers and dirtbikes but not all of us are like that. Many of them are from Keys Ferry Acres. I personally have very good friends who ride dirtbikes and fourwheelers that don't live in here. Thats a different story though. I am a going to be a senior this year and am still very much a kid inside. And many of my friends are also. From what we have heard, the board is getting grants outta the caboose. Before the club burnt down, the place where we hung out was there on the porch. It was away from the road and we could have easy parking for those of us who could drive..And no one seemed to mind that we were there. Now, there is nowhere for us to hang out and be outside. We were thinking about more swings. You may say that there is a little clubhouse fort thing up there with a swing. But I personally would like to see any parent attempt to sit on that. I can't do it. If there was swings there and more picnic tables there then we could sit and hang out. There is picnic tables sitting up in the pool area. I personally would paint them if they needed it. I would help put up swings if they needed me too. I would help do anything for this community, even though at times it hasn't been that grateful to me. As many of you know, I help clean the pool areas, I’ve painted, I’ve often worked at the clubhouse when it was alive. I’m willing to help put these things up if the board is willing to put the effort in buying them. My sister who is 15, my best friends who are 16,and 18 are wanting to go through with this also. They said they would help. One more thing I would like to see get done.....where the vandalism was on the trash building and the storage building. Does it take an army to paint over that?!?! I mean honestly..someone give me a paint can and a brush. I’ll do it myself. It looks very trashy and I can’t believe someone hasn’t complained about it yet. Its been what.. A year since that happened. And many of you blamed it on PiperTown and Silver Grove Teenagers....if you paid attention to it, someone spray painted down there too. They had to replace some signs also. So if someone would just find the color that needs to be painted...let me know. I’ll come up there and paint for a day. My number is 728-0181. Sherry Klimes or Amy Taylor can help get some supplies if you want to paint. The rebuilding plan is to do a pavilion first, where some hanging around could be done. Chip |
